Procedures for SuperSlow Certification
through Gary Lindahl, P.T.
Appointed and Certified as a SuperSlow Master Instructor
by Ken Hutchins, President of the SuperSlow Exercise Guild, Inc.
The governing body of the certification process is the SuperSlow®
Exercise Guild ,
Ken Hutchins, President. This body develops the criteria for certification,
standards of professionalism, and philosophy of SuperSlow. It's comprised
of 12 appointed Masters and those certified exercise specialists who wish
to belong to the organization through yearly dues.
Process
Read the SuperSlow Certification Program by Ken Hutchins. Understand
the magnitude of this Certification and that it not only considers the
didactic and practical aspects of a high intensity strength exercise,
but also a philosophy of the administrating body, the SuperSlow
Exercise Guild, Inc.
Send in the form to request the SuperSlow manual, protocols, and
video for Level I. The manual is $25 and the Level I video is $35. Each
can be ordered directly from the SuperSlow
Exercise Guild.
As a convenience, I occasionally have manuals and videos available for
you to purchase from me. I charge an additional $5 for shipping.
Study the SuperSlow manual. If you certify through me, I also supply
you with a study guide taken from the SuperSlow manual. I also require
additional material for you to know involving the rehabilitation aspect,
along with knowledge of changes in protocols for different musculoskeletal
diagnoses. (For example, degenerative disc disease, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis,
post surgical spinal fusions, shoulder rotator cuff tears, etc.)
This additional material will be supplied to you at the time you select
a certification date through me and pay the Guild the registration costs
as noted below. If you study intensely, you could probably be ready
to take the written examination in approximately two months after receiving
the educational material.
When you feel ready, submit the registration form for certification,
along with $595 to the SuperSlow Guild. Certification through me requires
three days minimum. This involves shadowing me for a minimum of two
days. On the third day, you will take your written examination, oral
and practical.
The two days shadowing me prior to taking the written exam will be very
valuable because you will see people who have different diagnoses. Often
you can talk with them about the effect the exercise program has had
on their lives, and get a good understanding of the modifications often
required in alignment and position with more fragile people.
Note: Please understand, the shadowing for a minimum of two days before
the examination is not required for certification from the other appointed
masters or Mr. Hutchins.
If you have any additional questions, I can be reached by
or by other methods. All of the necessary information
regarding certification can be attained at The
SuperSlow web site.
