Eating Out ?

Hints on Holding Down Calories,
Fats, and Carbs When Eating Out.

  • Always drink plenty of water - from start to finish, 4-8 glasses. Coke, ice tea, coffee, alcohol, etc. do not count.
  • No fried or fatty appetizers.
  • No bread or chips before or during your meal.
  • Salads: fat free dressing on the side.
  • Limit fats: lean meats, no butter.
  • Fill up on vegetables.
  • No carbs after 4 p.m., bread, pasta, cheese, potatoes, rice - anything white.
  • Alcohol: 1 glass of wine or 1 beer.
  • No desserts.
  • Drink more water………………………
  • Restaurants always provide servings that are too large. Have the waiter divide your meal and put half in a take-out box before your meal is served. If you have to see the whole presentation, then box the balance remaining at an appropriate time.
